Winemakers Dinner: Te Mata, Coleraine, 40 Vintages, 25 years in the Glass
${symbol}${ activeVariant.price | money }
Some wines need no introduction. Coleraine is one of them.
First made in 1982, Te Mata Estate's flagship Cabernet blend is widely regarded as New Zealand's greatest red wine - the closest thing this country has to a First Growth. Vintage after vintage, it draws perfect and near-perfect scores from critics around the world, including 100 points for the 2021, which you will taste..
For two nights only, The Wine Room becomes home to an extraordinary Coleraine retrospective: eleven vintages spanning a quarter of a century, from 1999 through to the current 2024 release - poured side by side, the way a wine like this deserves to be understood.
Guiding you through it all is Phil Brodie, Te Mata's Winemaker. Phil has been making wine at Te Mata since 1992, including every vintage of Bullnose Syrah since the very first and there are few people alive better placed to tell Coleraine's story, glass by glass.
