Conversations with Friends: Business, Friendship and the Future of Fashion

At The Wine Room, design sits at the heart of everything we do.
So when Conversations with Friends came to us to host their third instalment, it felt like a natural fit. Their series brings together thoughtful conversation and shared dining for an intimate evening exploring creativity, friendship and the future of New Zealand fashion.
Joining the conversation are Lauren Tapper, co-founder of Harris Tapper, Kayla Jurlina, Creative Director, and Wynn Hamlyn - three friends who studied fashion together and went on to remarkably different careers, from building leading labels to closing them after a decade.
Together, they'll reflect on the realities of building creative careers, and open up a broader conversation about the future of New Zealand fashion and what it takes to sustain a creative business today.
The conversation unfolds over a shared dining experience by Chef Alfie Ingham, seated at our infamous dining room table, designed to encourage conversation. Arrive as strangers, leave as friends.
